Privacy Policy
Effective date: 07/06/2026. Last updated: 07/06/2026.
This Privacy Policy is provided by Hyey Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Hyey," "we," "us," or "our"), with offices at 322 Culver Blvd, #1202, Playa Del Rey, CA 90293. It applies to the Hyey mobile application, the Hyey website (including our landing page and any browser-based version of the app), and related services (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how Hyey collects, uses, stores, and protects information when caregivers, family members, and care teams use the Service. It also explains how we use automated and artificial-intelligence tools to organize information, the choices and rights you have under U.S. federal and state privacy laws, and how to contact us. The Service is offered only in the United States. Capitalized terms have the meanings given in our Terms of Use.
01 Information We Collect
Hyey helps care teams coordinate day-to-day support. Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account information, such as name, email address, login method (including sign-in through Apple or similar platform services), profile details, and authentication identifiers.
- Team and caregiver information, including team membership, invitations, caregiver roles, permissions, activity history, and profile photos if added.
- Patient and care profile information, such as care preferences, contacts, medication details, routines, and other information entered into the Info Hub or Care sections. This may include the name, date of birth, gender, contact details, conditions, medications, physicians, allergies, medical equipment, and insurance information of the person receiving care.
- Tasks, reminders, and schedule information, including task titles, notes, recurrence settings, completion status, and notification preferences.
- Health entries, such as sleep, blood pressure, temperature, activity, hydration, and other records that a care team chooses to enter. Health entries and the care-profile information above are "sensitive" and "consumer health" data under various U.S. state laws.
- Voice and audio input. If you use voice features, we collect the audio you record so it can be transcribed and organized. Audio may contain health information and receives the same protections as health entries.
- Location information. With your permission, the app collects your device's precise location to power location-based features and to understand how those features are used. Precise location is treated as sensitive information: we ask for your consent before collecting it, you can turn it off at any time in your device settings or in the app, and we do not use it for advertising.
- Website information. If you visit our website or landing page, we collect information you submit through forms (currently, your email address if you sign up for updates) and technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, which we use for security and to operate the site.
- Device, usage, and diagnostic information, such as device type, operating system, app version, push notification token, crash logs, diagnostics, and interaction data needed to operate and improve the Service.

This summary explains which data categories may be linked to your identity and which categories may be processed separately from your identity.

Data Not Linked To You: Diagnostics; Identifiers.
Data Types: Hyey may collect these data types: User ID, Contacts, Email Address, Customer Support, Photos or Videos, Sensitive Info, Emails or Text Messages, Health, Name, Precise Location, Audio Data, Crash Data, and Device ID. Name and Email Address are used for app functionality and linked to your identity. Health, Sensitive Info, Precise Location, Audio Data, Contacts, Emails or Text Messages, Photos or Videos, Customer Support, and User ID are used for app functionality and linked to your identity. Device ID and Crash Data are used for app functionality and are not linked to your identity.
03 How We Use Information
We use information to provide and improve the Service, including to:
- Create and manage accounts, teams, invitations, and caregiver access.
- Display care information, tasks, reminders, schedules, chat, and health records to authorized team members.
- Organize and structure the information you enter, including voice input, using automated and artificial-intelligence tools provided by our service providers, so that it is presented in a usable form.
- Provide location-based features that you enable, with your consent.
- Send app notifications, reminder alerts, invite messages, and service-related updates.
- Protect account security, prevent misuse, debug issues, and maintain app and website reliability.
- Understand aggregate usage patterns so we can improve the Service.
We do not use the health, care-profile, location, or other sensitive information you enter for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use your content to train third-party artificial-intelligence models, and our AI service provider is engaged on terms that prohibit such training.
04 Care Team Sharing
Hyey is designed for shared caregiving. Information entered for a patient or team may be visible to other authorized members of that team based on their role and permissions. Team owners and administrators are responsible for inviting appropriate members and removing access when it is no longer needed. The person who creates a team (or invites members) is responsible for confirming that they have authority to enter and share information about the person receiving care, and for obtaining that person's consent where required. See our Terms of Use.
05 Health And Sensitive Information
Hyey may store health-related information that users voluntarily enter, including through voice input. Hyey is not a medical provider, emergency service, or replacement for professional medical advice. Users should not rely on Hyey for urgent or emergency care.
As this information is sensitive, we apply additional protections: we ask for your consent before collecting it; access is limited to authorized team members and to service providers that need it to operate the Service; we require those providers to protect it and not use it for their own purposes; and we apply the consumer-health-data protections to consumers in states that provide them. We collect, use, and share this information only with your consent or as necessary to provide the service you have asked for.
06 Service Providers
We use trusted service providers to operate the Service. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to Hyey. Our current service providers include: cloud hosting, database, and file storage (Google Cloud Platform, including Firestore and Cloud Storage, with data hosted in the United States); organization and structuring of user input using artificial intelligence (Google Gemini via Google's paid Vertex AI platform, under terms that prohibit training on your content); web application hosting (Vercel, which processes requests, including user content, in transit); sign-in services (such as Sign in with Apple); push notification delivery (Expo); email delivery; app diagnostics; customer-relationship management for marketing contacts (HubSpot); website form processing; and, when subscriptions are enabled, subscription and billing management (RevenueCat, together with the Apple App Store and Google Play). Our website and code infrastructure is supported by providers such as Cloudflare, GitHub, and NameCheap, which host our site and code and are not intended to receive your content. We enter into data-processing agreements (and business-associate agreements where applicable) with providers that process personal information, require them to safeguard it, and do not permit them to use it for their own purposes or to train their own models.
07 Data Retention
We retain information while an account or team remains active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce our terms. As a general matter: account and team information is retained for the life of the account and for 30 days after deletion or closure; health and care-profile information is deleted or de-identified within 30 days of a verified deletion request, except where we must retain it to meet a legal obligation; and backups are purged on a rolling 90-day cycle, so residual copies persist no longer than 90 days.
08 Your Choices And Requests
You may update information in the app where supported. To request account deletion, team data deletion, access, correction, or export of personal information, contact us at hello@hyeycare.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request, especially for team or patient-related information.
Location. You can stop collection of precise location at any time in your device settings or by withdrawing your consent in the app.
U.S. state privacy rights. Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to: confirm whether we process your personal information and access it; correct it; delete it; obtain a portable copy; opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising (note: we do not sell or share your information or use it for targeted advertising); and limit the use of sensitive personal information (including precise location and health information). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To exercise a right, contact us at hello@hyeycare.com or use the in-app controls. You may use an authorized agent. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response; we will inform you of the outcome and, where applicable, how to contact your state attorney general.
United States only. The Service is offered only in the United States, and we restrict account creation from outside the U.S. We do not target or knowingly offer the Service to individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
09 Notifications
Hyey may send push notifications for reminders, tasks, invitations, team updates, and care activity. We design notifications so that sensitive health details are not included in the notification text itself. You can manage notification permissions through your device settings and any notification controls available in the app.
10 Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. These safeguards include access controls tied to each user's authenticated identity and team role, encryption of information in transit, encryption of stored information, additional field-level protection for sensitive health information, and restrictions limiting access to authorized personnel and service providers. No system is completely secure, and users should protect their login credentials and device access.
11 Children
Hyey is intended for use by adults managing or participating in care teams. It is not directed to children under 13, and account holders must be at least 18 years old. A person receiving care may be a minor; in that case, the team owner represents that they are a parent, legal guardian, or otherwise authorized to enter and share that minor's information. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us.
12 Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the app, website, or another reasonable method. The updated policy will show a new effective date.
